The Morris Area Foundation Presents Grant Awards for 2019

The Morris Area Foundation Inc., now in its 6th year is pleased to announce its annual grant award recipients for 2019. A total of $7,300 was granted to 8 projects. Pictured, MAF Secretary Shelley Stupnisky presents to Ashley Olynick, Secretary Treasurer of the Small Town Kids Day Care in Rosenort to assist in engineer drawings and Del Stevenson, MAF President presents to Tara Mills Director and Lindsay Ewbank, board member of the Busy Nest Day Care in Morris for an new Art and Creativity Area. Other awards were granted to the: Morris Curling Club for the replacement of the light switches for the on ice curling club lights, Lowe Farm School for a Pop-Up Community Lending library, Morris Multiplex for the purchase and installation of power operated doors for the Crocus and Bison entrances, Rosenort Community Centre for the resurfacing of their tennis courts, Morris Community Swimming Pool for repair of the ladders into the pool facility, Morris Baseball Diamonds for up-grades to Diamond #4 at the Morris Baseball Diamonds.

Since its beginning in 2013, the Morris Area Foundation has provided grants with the help of The Thomas Sill Foundation, Canada 150 and generous support of past and current residents of almost $38,000 to area organizations.  Morris Area Foundation Inc. is building a legacy for the communities we serve.  The Foundation partners with donors to build permanent endowment funding tosupport projects in the area into the future. The Morris Area Foundation Inc. covers the entire Rural Municipality of Morris including the communities of Rosenort, Lowe Farm, Aubigny, Sperling and the Town of Morris.
